Dr. Rasheed is an expert interventional cardiologist. The interventional procedures performed routinely on children and adults are device closure of Atrial Septal Defects, Patent Foramen Ovale, Patent Ductus Arteriosus and Ventricular septal defects, balloon valvuloplasty for pulmonary and aortic valve stenosis, balloon dilation of pulmonary artery stenosis and stenting of coarctation of aorta and pulmonary artery stenosis.
He has performed many relatively rare and challenging procedures such as stenting of arterial duct, radiofrequency perforation of atretic pulmonary valve and device occlusion of AV malformations and fistulae
Dr. Rasheed also performs all essential pre-surgical work up such as diagnostic cardiac catheterisation and transoesophageal echocardiogram
